AMAZING

I shed a tear every time...

Glen Campbell - Wichita Lineman

MARTYN / 2562 - Yet / Kontrol

Tectonic rope in the talents of 2562 and Martyn for a brand new series of Tectonic Plates and another dub-tech stepping excursion onto the dancefloor. Martyn's 'Yet' slots neatly into his well loaded canon of specialized sound, using the signature breaks from his Applepips and 3024 releases to build a floaty stepper with deeply dubbed atmospherics stripping away much of the melodic excess of previous tracks to leave a fresh and spacious riddim that just OWNS it. 2562's 'Kontrol' on the flip sticks with a paucity of elements from a disinfected 808 drum palette to stealthy subs and melancholy pads to create perfectly spatialized syncopations ripe for mixing with similarly kinked beats. Needless to say - it's absolutely deadly. Oh, and special mention to the subs on this one, make sure you've got a decent speaker setup or you're going to miss half the fun. KILLER!

When times are hard, London is one of the most difficult places to be in the world. Everyone and everything seems to keep moving, apart from yourself.

OUZO BEATS VOLUME 4 – MARCH 2009

OUZO BEATS VOLUME 4 – MARCH 2009
DOWNLOAD HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES YES!
It's back, your monthly serving of OUZO BEATS has landed in March.
This month I have tried to celebrate the release of 'The Roots of EL-B' by countering it with my own selection of early tracks created by the man himself. There were NO Groove Chronicles tracks on the album, therefore I have decided to get you going with some tunes that inspired me and showed me the way FWD in the late 1990's.

I had promised some old Ghost, and true to my word I will give you some old Ghost tracks (just not as a part of this mix). Check back over the weekend and I will put up a couple of nuggets which I got digitized by my boy J STEEZY a little while back, just have to dig 'em out.

I have now included the track listing on the download so all iPod/iTouch/iPhone users will be able to see what they are hearing on the go.

ENJOY. PEACE.

A nice bit of design from the very cool Multistorey. They have created the Identity and shop fit for Constructive Lives, a furniture and accessory store.

Enjoy.

Axel Peemöller

This has been kicking around for some time, but it is something I love and absolutely wish I had created! It is a great use of typography and it shows how typographic design really can be functional and great to look at. It was designer by Axel Peemöller and this is what he has to say about it.

'In Melbourne I developed a way-finding-system for the Eureka Tower Carpark while working for Emery Studio. The distored letters on the wall can be read perfectly when standing at the right position'.

Geometric Glagolitic Alphabet

Kalin Varbanov designed a geometric modular structure to the Glagolitic alphabet, the oldest known Slavic one.

Enjoy.
